Litter Pedigree

Ghost is a 4 year old, physically moderate dog, being just under 25" at the shoulder, and a trim 60 lbs. He finished his breed Championship in 3 weekends at 2 1/2 years of age from the BBE class. Ghost won 3 majors and 4 BOB from the classes over multi-group placing specials and 4 BISS dogs. Along the way he even garners a Herding Group 2 from the classes! But what really gets him noticed is not just his good looks, but his presence and personality. Ghost is extremely bright, and a brat, a clown, a sweetheart - and intense. Ghost does appear to have a "center of the universe" outlook on life. He loves to make a game out of most everything, and he certainly is good at making people laugh. He has amazing focus and a strong work ethic and he LOVES agility. In one year he earned 6 AKC agility titles (NA, NAJ, NF, OA, OAJ, and OF) and also earned 2 of the 3 legs needed for his AX. And when excited, he can be quite vocal, although he is a quiet house dog (he does bark if someone approaches the house, etc, which is appropriate).

He is also a "talker", making an assortment of strange sounds. A very playful dog, he loves to tug, and he loves to play Frisbee. Ghost is quite the cuddler, too. He is very affectionate with his circle of friends and appears to never forget anyone he has met. But he's no Golden Retriever. Overall, most people who know him think he is a very funny, but also a pretty intense (i.e., high drive) Belgian Sheepdog.

Kira
is an 8 year old physically moderate bitch measuring at 23” at the shoulder. She is a solid 52 lbs and very toned. Kira carries a shorter plush coat which is easily maintained and groomed. She has a nice front, deep chest and lovely gait. She is very athletic and has a wonderful work ethic in anything we do together.

She was Herding Instinct tested by Mary Alice Theriot and passed in June of 2001. We started agility in 2001 when she was 18 months old. We trialed for the first time in 2003 and stopped trialing at the end of 2004 for 3 years. After 3 years I decided to enter the agility ring again and with minimal practice or training she acquired 4 agility titles from April 2007 through December 2007. We are currently working towards our Excellent Agility titles under the guidance of Jessica Ajoux (www.readygoagility.com)

Kira is a somewhat serious Belgian who is devoted to her family and her owner, me. She is a wonderful family companion and very watchful of everything that goes on in our home. She is alpha female in our pack and is respected by all of the dogs. She sleeps with me at night and is always by my side when I am home. Like Ghost, she is very affectionate with her circle of friends and people she knows showing a big Belgian smile to show her happiness! People that see Kira think she is absolutely beautiful and it seems are drawn to her beauty and elegance.

I expect Kira and Ghost will produce some very driven performance dogs that will excel in any venue. The Belgian breed is a herding breed and require socialization, training and fair and consistent handling and discipline. Breeding Kira to Ghost will lend some balance to Kira’s environmental sensitivity by way of Ghosts stability, phenomenal work ethic and outgoing character. It is my goal to produce puppies that combine both Kira & Ghosts fine work ethic along with Ghosts unflappable stability and fun nature. Breeding Kira to Ghost will add a bit of affability to Kira's core character so that her offspring will be more versatile for the average Belgian owner. All of these qualities are important to me and my concept of the Belgian breed.

If you have never owned a Belgian Sheepdog (or any of the Belgian varieties) before please do some research online, visit dog shows and speak to breeders and owners about the breed.
I am in the dual process now of interviewing potential owners and having potential owners interview me. Please call me at 973 875 3268 in the evenings or email at ezduzit@ptd.net
