F Litter Turned 1!
Well our “F” litter is now a year old on June 22, 2009. I’ve been
fortunate that I have seen 3 of the 5 puppies throughout the year. I
am more than pleased with them. They all exhibit the drive and
temperament and conformation I was striving to produce with the Kira
x Ghost breeding. Karma lives with me and is my up and coming
agility dog. We’ve been working somewhat hard on laying the
foundation skills for her to become a great agility companion,
socializing and building confidence. It is my hope to begin trialing
her in the Fall of 2010.
Beartooths In Search of Bliss aka Lila from our “B” litter (Kira x
Jack) has been a certified SAR dog for quite some time now. I
understand she made her first ‘find’ recently. Congratulations to
Lila and her owner. Papa Jack (Beartooths BlackJack, CGC) and mama
Kira (Donatrix Quarelle, AXJ, OA, CGC, TDI, HIT) are very proud of
their offspring and I know gramma Jen is too! |

Hardest thing I ever had to do!
In September of 2008 I made the heart-wrenching decision to place
Sourires Wrigley of Hillside (Riggs) and Sourires Emy-Lu of Hillside
(Emy). Emy had been with me from birth and Riggs from the time he
was 8 months old. With the help and guidance of my friend Lynnette
Bennett both dogs were placed in excellent homes in Maryland. Emy
and Riggs are loving life now and see each other on a weekly basis
for play dates etc. I can’t thank their new owners enough for giving
me updates about each of them and for being kind and understanding.
Riggs will always be a heart dog to me, he was my favorite as a
young puppy and I grew very attached to him. He now spends his days
playing at agility and ‘killing’ soccer balls. Emy spends her days
with her special person and enjoying long walks in the country. As a
breeder I knew it was best for Emy and Riggs to be in new homes. I
didn’t have the time or money to give them what they sorely needed.
I’ll never regret my decision and I think if they could tell me they
would say “Thanks!”
Here is a picture of Riggs and his new mom! It doesn’t get any
better than this.
